Acclaimed Jazz/Rock/Blues guitarist, Jeff Healey is dead
May he Rest in Peace.
From News Canada and Yahoo
Despite Long Battle with Cancer, Jeff Healey's death still shocking
Acclaimed Jazz and Rock guitarist Jeff Healey was remembered as a musician of rare ability who had a wicked sense of humour and a generous nature as fans and bandmates mourned his death at age 41, following a battle with cancer.

Very sad news indeed as Jeff Healey was only 41 years old. He was blinded at age one by cancer and battled the insidious disease his entire life. His latest, and now last, cd is due out later this year. It will be his first Blues/Rock effort in many years, as he had been doing Jazz projects the last several years. He will be missed.

2. That's the guy from Road House, right?
Better than decent bluesman in the Stevie Ray vein. I like his playing.

Sad.

3. Damn! Fine musician...
...Known for "Roadhouse," I guess, since it's developed a cult following (hell, I've seen it a buncha times), but Healey was a first-rate blues man. I saw him play in L.A. many years ago. Great show that was. He had a courage I can only aspire to.
