So how are you all celebrating Pulaski Day?
Today is the single most ridiculous "holiday" in the history of holidays. Yes, even more insipid than "Sweetest Day". How have you been honoring good ol' Cazimir? Me, I went to a 12 step meeting, did some housework, browsed the resale shops, then came to DU. Tonight, the beagle and I have dog class. Like every Monday.

What'd you do?

My assistant insists on having this in her contract, "cuz it's a holiday!". So, I've had people calling me on my cell all day, because there's no one in the office...and sane people are working! The organ tuner showed up and there was no one to let him in. Apparently, he forgot it was a holday :eyes:

I'm German, and would like to know if I can have Von Steuben Day off!!

All variations on the Vienna Lager.

I want something with hops and alcohol.

Something that tastes and feels like I'm drinking a liquid bong hit.

22. My dad and my uncles blew up a basement making Polish home brew.
And yes, home brew is a tradition in Poland. When my cousins came over from Poland years ago, they were PISSED that they could not order a beer in a restaurant or drink in public. They were 6, 8 and 13 years old at the time. And they made their own beer in Poland.
