Best advice I've read in a long time:
"Observe the shamen, monks, priests, and holy men... You will see most of them living a life of poverty with no possessions and no money. Ask them how they can be so blissfully happy under such harsh conditions. Their likely response is that life is one gigantic, elaborately funny joke, and that they are merely playing a role in some twisted supernatural game. Why should they take life seriously?
"If you can understand yourself as they do, life can seem to be a big charade. The holy men do not let petty things piss them off; they rejoice in being alive and accept any and all inevitable cosmic changes. Likewise, negative people and bad vibes bounce right off and do not affect their spirit.
"Adopt the holy man credo: never take life too seriously. If a setback does occur, just remember, tomorrow is another day."

1. Damn, I really wish I could be like that. But I'm not. Injustice |

and criminality just seem to piss of off. In fact, I actually prefer the philosophy that every situation will take care of itself naturally, but unless humans intervene, the solution to the problem may not be what is right, just, and fair. We, so I believe, were put on this earth to intervene, to act. Not just watch with semi-detached amusement.
