I mean obviously with all the murders, there was something wrong with the guy. But, god damn. What a psycho. And he escaped prison twice! What the fuck!

1. Wasn't he just the oddest duck?
Completely sane and completely psychopathic.

:wtf:

There was a really good article about him years ago in Rolling Stone. I only got that issue back then because Billy Joel was on the cover  but the article about TB was in another dimension, all about how he could befriend people and maintain jobs and friendships, then go kill at night.

:scared: :scared:

2. And the way he did it
Just so blantant. Pull up next to a woman in broad daylight, club her on the head and throw her in the car. Nuts.

Then took them away.

He fried, though. Now they've retired Sparky, damn it, just when Mark Dean Schwab needs it most. :(

21. My dad knew the FBI cops assigned to him
Bundy was smarter than most people - that's what made him so scary

He would smack that ball around so hard that we called him Ted Bundy.

6. What scares me the most about Bundy is that only one woman is known to have escaped
Edited on Thu Mar-06-08 03:28 AM by BlueIris
from his clutches once he actually "had" her. And if his stories are to be believed, only a few women managed to veer/walk/run away from Bundy before he actually had them in his car. Ew. Ew, ew, ew.

7. There was a TV movie about him that was excellent.
Does anyone know who was in it or when it came out? Eighties, I think. Superior to a more recent flick on this.

8. The Deliberate Stranger
I remember it because it had Mark Harmon as Ted Bundy; marketing how Ted used his looks to get the women.

19. Yep. Uses a voice-clip from Bundy at the start...
...Camera got them images
Camera got them all
Nothing's shocking...
Showed me everybody
Naked and disfigured
Nothing's shocking...
And then he came
Now sister's
Not a virgin anymore
Her sex is violent...

The T.V.'s got them images
T.V.'s got them all
It's not shocking!
Every half an hour
Someone's captured and
The cop moves them along...
It's just like the show before
The news is
Just another show
With sex and violence...

Sex is violent...
Sex is violent...
Sex is violent...
Sex is violent...
Sex is violent...
Sex is violent...
Sex is violent!

I am the killer of people
You look like a meatball
I'll throw away your toothpick
And ask for your giveness

Because of this thing!
Because of this thing!
Because of this thing!

That's in me
Is it not in you?
Is it not your problem?
A baby to a mother...

You talk too much
To your scapegoat
That's what I say
He tells you everyone is stupid
That's what he thinks!

Snapshots
Make a girl look cheap
Like a tongue extended
A baby's to a mother

Sex is violent!
Sex is violent!
Sex is violent!
Sex is violent!

23. He bashed their heads in in order to kill them as soon as possible...
so that he could commence his necrophiliac activities. He was no sexual sadist (they are actually quite rare) and his arousal did not come from their suffering, but from their dead bodies.

18. Has anyone read Ann Rule's book about him?
And did you know that Ann Rule knew him? They both worked together manning a suicide hotline. He supposedly was very good at talking people out of committing suicide. Can you imagine? He fooled her for some years. She never felt any weird vibes from him or anything. This is how good he was at fooling people. Her book is called "A Stranger Beside Me" and a very good account of his whole story. It's a fascinating read.
