I'm sitting here and all of a sudden the most unbelievable stench hits me. Smells like burning plastic. I run downstairs and he's got every door and window open.

Apparently, the microwave started to smoke when he was heating up some soup. It's about 10 years old, so I guess that's a good run. Ugh.

We got a stainless steel Panasonic from Target. The thing is so powerful, we call it "The Soviet Microwave." It wasn't too expensive either.

I love Costco. They happen to stock a lot of the foods we like, plus, the cleaning supplies are ridiculously cheap compared to the grocery store.

15. Was the soup all glommed up?

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I was reheating some lentil soup and didn't add water or stir it up. I guess there was a pocket of liquidy soup in the glommed up soup material and that got superheated and the next thing I know the kitchen is all a stench with this burnt lentil soup smell and smoke. Wasn't even on the burner for very long.
