if you are saying gayest to mean worst/stupidest/awfullest then its a no no.

if you are saying, gayest as most valued/pertinent to the gay community, then its ok

I've never heard the term "gayest" used in a positive sense in relation to the gay community.

So, I'd say that it is negative, unless specifically applied to the gay community.

because if there arent songs specifically for us, the generic/default is always heterosexual.

I didn't really look at the list — not with that thought in mind, anyway. And I probably wouldn't even know a lot of gay songs are... well, gay songs, because I usually don't think much about lyrics (unless it's Pink Floyd, of course).

I figured it meant "gayest" like "That's so gay."
