Guilty pleasures (in music) and other things of which I am not guilty.
Well, while roaming through iTunes, I came upon a new Loverboy album and while they got admittedly cheesy there towards the end of their popularity, I still liked their early stuff. Here is an old ticket stub from a NOLA jam where they played a great set along with Ozzy and Foreigner. This new album is not that bad however hard that is to admit. I also saw them in '84 at a jam at the Cotton Bowl here in Dallas. Hey, but at least I am not defending Nickelback!

On another note, something I am not at all guilty about is liking the new BoDeans album. If you have not heard Still you need to! Awesome!

And don't forget that you can download for free the first nine songs from the new album by Nine Inch Nails or pay a whopping $10.00 for the whole shebang.

Other albums that you need to check out is the new Mars Volta, the new Protest the Hero and any album from the new generation of thrashers like 3 Inches of Blood or Evile.

And I am also not ashamed of drinking Samuel Adams' White Ale right now in celebration of spring's arrival. ;) Okay, now back to reading politics and taking pictures of birds!

So Loungers, what is your guilty pleasure?

3. In the 60's,as a hardcore Beatles fan,I'll admit I liked some of Herman's Hermits
stuff.Finding out later that most of their session guitar work was done by a very young Jimmy Page makes this a little easier to admit.

4. That's cool!
I knew John Paul Johns was an in-demand session player at the time, but not Page.
