6. I had a co-worker who described everything as "specious..."

...about 50 times a day. I quickly realized she had no idea what the word meant. She had obviously heard it somewhere and decided it was an "important" word that "smart" people used. Sigh.

If I were you, I'd anonymously start a rumor that said coworker is "peeing in the coffee." And then I'd hire a lookalike, and sneak them into your office after-hours and record them doing just that. Then I'd post the video anonymously and see what happens.

But that's me.

8. I was on a tour of China years ago with my mom

and one of the women kept using "mind boggling" to describe anything she saw. The factory was mind boggling. The food was mind boggling. The pig farm commune's hospital was mind boggling. Mom and I decided very early on that her mind boggled way too easily.
