A ssuming you don't get unexpectedly creamed by a speeding bus, what would your's be? A few to get you started:
"Either those drapes go, or I do" - Oscar Wilde
"I am about to — or I am going to — die: either expression is correct" - Dominique Bouhours, famous French grammarian
"Hurry up, you Hoosier bastard, I could kill ten men while you’re fooling around!" - Carl Panzram, serial killer, shortly before he was executed by hanging.
"Now, now, my good man, this is no time for making enemies." - Voltaire when asked by a priest to renounce Satan.
"Now why did I do that?" - General William Erskine, after he jumped from a window in Lisbon, Portugal in 1813.

1. "Jefferson still survives." John Adams, July 4th, 1826. |
|
Jefferson had actually died a few hours earlier on the very same day.

...I've got it ALL planned out. It's (tee-hee!) perfect.
You guys are gonna LOVE it. Mind you, it's gonna be on my sesquicentennial. So you've got a hundred years and change to wait. But stick around. My last words will be, uh, deathless.

Normally, I might be worried about this bus coming towards me. But before it hits me, it will have to travel half the distance. Then it will have to travel half of the remaining distance. Then half again, and half again, ad infinitum. Such an event would require an infinite amount of time, which is clearly--SPLAT!

I don't think he was famous, just some aristocrat that was on his death bed with the family around him. No one had detected any movement or breathing for several minutes and someone said, "Do you think he's dead?" Someone else said, "Feel the bottom of his feet; no one ever died with warm feet." Without opening his eyes, and just before he died, he whispered, "Joan of Arc did."
