Chicago DUers!!! Are we getting together on 2/29?

About a week ago, Susang proposed a DU get-together. Many of us responded positively, but the thread has since disappeared into oblivion (another shining example of my thread-killing ability).

Anyway, when last seen we were talking about getting together on Sunday, February 29 (Leap Day, appropriately) at a venue we have previously visited downtown.

What say you? Shall we do it?

My schedule changes on short notice but as of now that works. I have only met with DUers once when flush_bush was recently in town so I don't know what CC is. I'd appreciate a PM from someone.

18. I can do the 29th if it's early

It's Oscar night (and I don't mean the mythical DU beast!) and therefore I absolutely must be home to watch them. To be honest, the 22nd would be better for me, but I'm willing to give up the guilty pleasure of watching celebrities insult Joan Rivers to her face without her realizing or caring, to spend time with DUers, but I will have to be home in front of the TV by Academy Awards start time.

Unfortunately, my internet access has been seriously curtailed in recent weeks due to my ISP's error (they accidentally cut off my DSL and it's taking them weeks to get it turned back on!) and I can no longer access DU at work, so I won't be able to do much of the planning this time, though I wish I could. Is anyone else available to help out this time around?

Looking for work, getting settled in Chicago and all. I was looking forward to meeting him, as I was hoping to be able to help him out in that department. I haven't been online much either, so meeting him in person seemed a much better way to give him the information and contacts I have for him.

Also, he may be looking forward to having his housewarming party and not regarding it as a bother or expense. He's a chef and in the restaurant business after all. I just don't want to offend his hospitality unintentionally.

63. Why Don't We Try To Push It Back A Week

Susan and Mike had some issues about the 29th too. (Oscar's i think.)

Maybe we should try to push it back to the 7th. That would be better for the RKZ clan, too, since they'd get to meet people. I doubt they'd have the housewarming and then make the next day.

So, i'm suggesting to the Chicago crowd that we move it to the 9th or March.
