Sometimes when I make fun of Oklahoma, I hear from Okies who tell me that I don't know what I'm missing and that I should book a vacation there. After hearing about the latest animal sex news in Dibble, Okla., I'm thinking I should call my travel agent. The good news in Dibble, population 282, is that it is no longer illegal for animals to do the nasty in public out where people can see them getting after it. But until the Dibble City Council changed the law recently, it was a violation. So if you were a dog and you weren't in the doghouse, you were in the doghouse, if you catch my drift.
Carol Mendenhall, who manages Gator's Convenience Store in nearby Blanchard, said the ordinance that got her in trouble with her goats read like this: "It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any animal for breeding purposes within the corporate limits of the town of Dibble, Oklahoma except in private enclosed locations entirely out of the public view or to permit any such animal to have sexual intercourse in any place except a private enclosed place."

Mendenhall said she was ticketed after a neighbor spotted her goats doing the nasty in her yard and called the police. The citations have since been dropped. There were four goats involved, Mendenhall said. "Adam was having sex with the three females; all three of them were in heat at the same time," Mendenhall said. How fortunate for Adam.
