Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic |

I have been playing my roomies copy on his X-Box. (he's been too busy with Star Wars Galxies)
It's definately a really cool game. Honestly it's almost better than Episodes 1 and 2. Less annoying characters and lots of good and interesting character interaction.
Plus I dig that you can actually choose to be a follower of the light or dark side.

1. And way better than the Star Wars MMORPG |
|
I played someone elses copy of SW:KOTOR. Good Game.
I had bought SW Galaxies at the same time KOTOR came out. What a mistake. SWG is just a terribly run game.

2. My son loves his KOTOR |
|
He's gotten really into it. I've watched him play a few times. I'm really impressed with the plot and the graphics. Of course, I'm old enough to remember when "Pong" was high-tech.
PS: If you have to ask me "What's Pong?", just go take your bottle and blankie and take a nap. I'm OLD, I'm Grumpy! Leave me alone, dagnabbit!!"

3. If you don't mind First person shooters |
|
Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight also has a good and entertaining storyline, which I also rate above that of the new movies.

...and it's sequel is nearly as good.
Although the first was called Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, the next is called Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, and concerns the same main character (Kyle Kattan?) It's a first person action shooter with some RPG elements... well written, too...
KOTOR is just as good on the PC as on the XBox. Definitely the best of the StarWars franchise games, along with the Jedi Knight shooters.

5. IMO it's the best video game in several years |
|
KOTOR is singlehandedly responsible for rekindling my waning interest in the Star Wars franchise. It was a thrill to play, I really felt like every decision I made might have the greatest consequences to the fate of the universe. And I had no idea what was going to happen next, because the game explored a period in the Star Wars history that virtually nothing is known about.
The graphics are great, the gameplay is excellent, and the voices were more than just cheesy, token lines. Even a freaking droid managed to have a unique personality that contributed to the overall plot.
I can't recommend this game enough, especially to someone who is a Star Wars fan but thinks all the new Star Wars stuff sucks.

6. I liked it a lot too, but it didn't seem to have much replay value to me |
|
I finished the game twice, once as the light side and once as the dark. In the end it seemed to be a little to liniar to me. I think it would get great if they added a multi-player option, allowed to you keep your character, and maybe added more usable items .
