Very very bad accident I just saw on I-70/I-225 exchange

I was driving south on I-225 on my way to pick up my sis, traffic started backing up (normally it's very empty late at night), but it started backing up about a mile from the exchange. I found out why - about 1/4 mile closer to the I-70/I-225 exchange, I saw a car that was literally torn in half. I don't know if there was a fatality in that accident, but I *CANNOT* imagine anyone surviving that kind of accident (the car was backed halfway into the barrier and torn apart).

It was down to 1 lane for over an hour, then when I drove back to the same exchange, it was clear. Kudos to Aurora Police for clearing the mess very quickly. That, and they're probably in the hospital about a mile and a half away, so they're probably lucky.

I was so mortified about the accident. I got off the exit an exit early, so I had to take the long way back to the airport road.

So far no news report has been filed, and I'm shocked.

3. It was about 10:30 MDT when this happened.

Way past the news cycle, probably yeah. I'm sure we'll hear something in the AM about it, but I have my doubts.
