9. Kerry seen with program of DU

Kerry denies knowing that GrovelBot is an program of the partisan website democraticunderground.com. Aids say that GrovelBot offered to speak and said very nice things about the candidate. It seems that no one on the Kerry campaign knew that GrovelBot was created by a website.

Meanwhile Skinner, owner of DU, says "The opinions of our programs do not necessarily reflect the opinion of DU." When asked about who wrote GrovelBot's language, Skinner did not give a definitive answer, but said that GrovelBot has obviously made his choice on his own. This leads to questions about GrovelBot either not being a true robot, or conversely his ability to pass the Turing test.
