6. Could be.
Had a few glasses of red wine after and with dinner, and also some shots of tequila. But I do have a high tolerance, so I prefer--tipsificated.

9. Well, good for you. Now I DARE you to read this reply to your post, which will follow
Edited on Sat Mar-15-08 11:21 PM by Redstone
here in the body of my reply, following the subject line as it does, and I want you to pay attention now because it's pretty important, especially given that I am, although not the absolute master of, at least right up there in the ranks of the best of, although who it might actually be who ranks these things (I'm not sure that there really is someone or a group of people, but there must be in these days when so many people seem to have so much time on their hands), of those who profess to be able to (or actually can, when provided with the proper provocation), and I count myself among those who actually CAN, as opposed to those who claim the ability but have yet to prove it in any public forum where it can be examined and critiqued by those who should know about such things, but even then those same people may well be suspect because I'm not so sure they'd be forthcoming with proof of their credentials (though they'll be happy to step up and judge other nonetheless, and why do you suppose that is, I ask, even when I know I won't get an answer), no, THOSE people don't have the goods (and yes, I'll grant that if you were British, you'd say "they haven't got the goods" but I'm American and will defend my usage of the term until I get tired of doing so and then go to bed with no definitive resolution being reached, lazy son of a bitch that I am) but THOSE PEOPLE, they'll claim to be able to write (or actually that should read "type" rather than "write" these days, shouldn't it, because who the hell actually WRITES anymore, except for me...I really do, even though I learned to type way back in the old days when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and guys didn't type, but I did anyway and it wasn't easy, back then when men were men and ther were actual non-electric typewriters; not "keyboards," and we had to push those keys down with our MUSCLES, not with any fancy electronic assistance) an extraordinarily run-on sentence that would actually parse, assuming you were bored and weenie-ish enough to actually remember what "parsing a sentence" MEANS, much less remembering how to do so, and let me tell you, out of all the things they tried to make you learn in school that you thought were utterly useless, those thing that made you wonder what the hell you need to learn that thing for, anyway, it's not like you'd ever use that knowledge in real life, parsing a sentence has GOT to be right at the top of the list, and you were absolutely correct in thinking that it was.

How's your head feel now?

23. Y'know, originally I thought Bushmills was really just for mixing with stuff
and if I wanted to drink good straight whiskey I'd go for some nice scotch or something... but I think I've changed my position.

Bushmills is pretty good straight up. :)

24. I have made a second scientific discovery about Bushmills triple-distilled irish whiskey tonight.
After a certain amount, it tends to impair one's sense of balance.

my reflexes were more than up to the task of preventing my face from smacking into my keyboard.

It was a close call though. :P

40. we don't keep it in the house
if we REALLY want it, we have to go get it.

...and I didn't think about it...my husband had been working in the garage all day on different stuff.
I guess he just felt like it, and decided to go get some.

He just poured me a second glass just now :)
