3. It's a little heavy-handed, yes, but...
...the satire pretty much stands or falls on how people perceive the sincerity of what she says about herself. There is an unfortunate tendency right now to paint her as a survivor or a victim of society or any number of other things. Meanwhile, she's weighing offers to pose for Hustler and Penthouse, and there's a huge marketing effort going on to boost her 15 minutes of fame.

She did what she did, and for her own reasons, but all that means is that she did what she did. It doesn't make her a good person or a bad person, just someone who did what she did, and the Huffington Post piece is a commentary on that. You're right, it's not "ha-ha funny," I just saw it as a 360 degree view of this latest "media darling."
