Days away from my fiftith Birthday, I am marring and having a family.

I have happily occupied the center of the known universe for a half century. To my great surprise I learned that I was lonely, those that I ran with were shallow, my likes were crass, and vulgar, and my soul was a twisted reflection of what I thought I wanted. A woman, whom I had told early that we would not have a long term relation sought to pull these veils from my eyes. She lamented to her trusted cadre that despite such nonredeemable characteristics she said that I was smart, funny, and adventurous. Afterwards she came to my place, ignoring my trained stripper and let me fix dinner for her. She was much older the the trollops I had been snacking on. And in retrospect much tougher then the shecats I have sought out for so many seasons. She was different, wiser, more perceptive, but with out the ego.
She led me to green fields, up mountain trails, we sat in darkend glens, and communicated without words, without rancor, and my eye saw a wondrous being. Alison, not a redeemer, neither demon nor savior. She was the rarest of the rare. She was every particle my match. There was no move, word, plan that would best her. She was a doppleganger, but with kindness, and occasional baked goods. Together we press on with a doomed launch that then goes off with out a hitch. My weakness fills her strength. And where she fears to go, I love to charge in, no longer to conquer for glory, but to subdue so my love can continue. Wordlessly we began to travel side by side. We marveled at the insanity, and more so when we realized it was happiness. There is more then one person for every one. The trick is finding that person when you are booth ready for one another. With a deep breath I am to declare my love and allegiance. All the stupidity of my previous life got me here. Truly the faiths can be kind to the most undeserving, and I am glad for this injustice. I now have a son. Smart, mediocre grades but totally trainable to prep for college, a daughter that is one of those good souls. Other then being a loving sweet individual she is showing quite a talent in art. They are in their last meaningful formation phase and we will do them no harm, while instilling the need to prepare for the world. I hope my creator allows me many happy years with my beloved. What I've already have has been wonderful and far from what I should have coming. It is late and she is dreaming sweetly, It is time to join here. Good night Lounge, sweet dreams.
