What was innocent fun, I guess to others is not. I think I need to take a break from here for awhile and just lurk. Maybe even not that. Its not fun for me anymore.

I can't believe the shit I'm reading today. Is this what we've become? "Oh Gee...I was going to post in the lounge but I''m not sure it's interesting enough." Perhaps there should be a lounge thread review board.
I guess there always has to be a few turds in the punchbowl. I had a lot of fun yesterday, and if I broke some cardinal rule then let the mods sort it out. There are at least 150 more offensive threads in other forums on DU and I use the hide thread function or ignore the offending poster. Jeebus christ. I've been here since 2004 and I can tell you the lounge has ALWAYS been insane. In fact people used to get jumped for posting shit that was too serious here. Give me a break.

I think, this time of year and the hangovers some people may have had following St. Pats Day, contributed to the tussle.
Do what you need to, but do it for you, not for people who think they can dictate how people should behave on the Internet.
