Going to the mailbox is just no fun anymore |

With the advent of email, nobody bothers to send cards or letters anymore. Here's our "take" for today:
1. Valpak coupons which we never use 2. A BCBS explanation of benefits for my back problem 3. Invitation to buy still more furniture from Ashley Furniture. 4. Our WAMU home equity statement 5. Crap brochure from bastard representative Kenny Marchant 6. Capital One credit application 7. Another donation request from Islamic Relief 8. Numerous other credit applications 9. Some stupid baby thing - just because I buy gifts at Babies R Us does NOT automatically mean I have a newborn, so why the hell am I getting free Similac in the mail?? 10. Lovely -a free Luvs diaper! (see #9) 11. At last something useful -Psychiatric Annals journal 12. More useless coupons 13. An Ulta ad for stuff I don't buy there - why not send ads for stuff I DO buy?
I think I'll buy a bunch of "just because" cards and start sending them to friends and family - then maybe they'll reciprocate and I'll get something worthwhile in the mail for a change. I don't even get birthday cards anymore - it's easier for people to just email an e-card.

1. Ooh, I hated all the baby junk mail. |
|
I didn't use formula or disposables, and I really didn't want to have to donate them, because they're horrible for health and the environment, and they just reek, so I never knew what to do with them.
And those solicitations for baby life insurance? Ghoulish.
