to 10:30 today that was moved to Tuesday.... I just got an email to tell me that the 10:30 meeting today is cancelled which I pretty much knew since it isn't going to happen until Tuesday

mostly, this time, she wants me to write out how I do every single step of what I do. Mind you she does exactly the same job as I do.

My boss even asked "Why is she so fired up about this?"

we have a meeting on Tuesday. The last time she called one of these she expected to stay there all afternoon--everyone (lead by me) immediately poo-ppo'ed that idea. We were in there about 45 minutes.

I think she needs to find something to do with her time. :evilgrin:

If you are doing the same job as she is doing, and you are not her manager or trainer, you have work to do (unless, like me, you are avoiding work right now).

If there are written work instructions, she should consult them.

If there are no written work instructions, she should consult her manager.

If she wants you to write up every thing you do so she can make a case that you are skipping steps/not doing your job, she should seriously get a life.

21. I had a boss do that to me ONE time

My whole narrative was basically:

"Organized pick tickets"
"Stopped to write down that I organized pick tickets"
"Matched pick tickets to invoices, answered phones as they rang, greeted 8 people at the front desk, answered a few dozen questions from a few other employees, got 18 email messages and responded to 4 of them"

My last entry was
"Got half the work done I normally do in a day because I had to write everything DOWN for you. If you would have asked I could write a daily diary for you based on a normal workday"


My boss then told me to go ahead and write my job description myself, and until recently, never asked me to do this again. Now he wants to be in the loop on everything I do (been 10 years since the last time). My incessant emails addressing every move I make are wearing him down...I expect to get the "Sorry what was I THINKING" apology any time now...probably the beginning of next week.
