Does anyone else balance an egg on end for the Equinox?

I know it's a myth that this is the only day of the year it can be done.

But it's still a fun thing to do.

Show us your eggs!

2. Yeah. It's a myth. You can balance an egg at anytime if you wanted to.
But, what'd be the point?

5. No, but I DID have occasion for the first time ever
to use an old household hint I've been carrying around.

My bf "consolidated" two egg cartons I had in the fridge - not knowing that one of the cartons contained hard-boiled eggs.

so I had to spin my eggs to figure out which was which.

6. Actually, you can just shake one.
You'll be able to feel the yolk moving around in a raw egg.

7. I got in BIG trouble with an egg trick when I was a kid...
A few of us were riding to school with a neighbor in his mom's car. I'd heard that the design of an egg is so strong that you can squeeze very hard at both ends without having the shell break. I was demonstrating this to my best friend when the obvious happened. I freaked out and didn't say anything, and the woman noticed the egg when it started to smell a few hours later.
My parents would not believe that I'd taken the egg to school to demonstrate the trick. They were convinced I'd taken it to throw at somebody. In fact, my dad was so infuriated that he spanked me until I told him the lie he wanted to hear. It really sucked to be me that day. :(
