She will need a cat scan and a spinal tap :scared:

she just fell asleep - I am going to lay here next to her and check her out all night and we are taking her in the morning..

Doc says it is more than likely viral since she shows no neurological symptoms as of yet - if anything changes we head out right away...right now Doc says it's okay to let her sleep.

37. Oh - I am so sorry.

I hope she is okay. I have had viral meningitis twice - most recently last summer. They will do a cat scan and a spinal tap. The spinal tap will be very unpleasant - try to have them sedate her. Even a dose of benadryl to make her sleepy will help some. There is absolutely nothing they can do for viral meningitis. It has to run its course. My first bout lasted about 2 weeks. When I had it last summer, it only lasted about a week - but it was much more painful. I could not get out of bed to use the restroom - it felt like my neck/head was going to burst.
