Anyone seen Horton Hears a Who?
I thought it was quite satirical and that the kangaroo represented the Religious Right.

1. I could see that message, but all in all
It was pretty boring movie, at least of me. My 9 yo nephew seemed to enjoy it though.

4. It certainly wasn't something I would have chosen to see, but it was at least a little deeper than
i thought it would be so I was pleasantly surprised.

5. Dr Suess used to do political cartoons
He did many cartoons faulting the US isolationist attitudes before WW 2.

2. I don't see how the kangaroo represented the religious right.

She kept saying that what you can't see, can't hear or can't feel doesn't exist. That doesn't sound like a religious thing to say. She was more just a "conservative" who doesn't want change and doesn't believe anything she doesn't want to believe. Also, she came around in the end, finally.

On a side note, I thought that was Jamie Lee Curtis' voice, but it was Carol Burnett! I had no idea how similar their voices are.

3. I saw it with an entire elementary school.
The kids seemed to love it. I thought it was way too loud and the "action" scenes made me jump out of my seat. I guess kids today are used to all the jarring sounds and motion.

I guess there was symbolism if you felt like searching for it. The book was better. LOL

Nothing bad happens in Whovile

Never has never will

Stocks and Companies

May crumble and fall

And Thousands of Americans get foreclosed

Right out of the homes

But thanks to our friends in China

They can go to Wal-mart

And buy some cheep tents to live in

But this is Whovile

And everything will turn out

All sunny and rosey in the end

Because nothing bad ever happens in Whovile

Never has never will

And the declining value of dollar?

This only means more

Tourism from Europe

So rejoice one and all !

And as for Global Warming

When people say it is the reason

for all this flooding and other weird weather

I say they are talking nonsense

If you can't see or feel something it must not exist.
