and a berry pie with cherries, blueberries, rasberries and strawberries.
We 're not eating here. We're bringing this to friends to add to their roast beef and fixings!
Sounds like a feast and my house smells wonderful!
What's everybody doing for Easter Sunday?

And I'm 'dog-sitting' for acquaintances, and nothing much to eat here! I KNEW I should bring somethings! And I have no good food plans for tomorrow, and if I think of some now, I'll just be more hungry. AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO SLEEP!!!

Once again the Theory of Unintended Consequences(tm) rears its ugly head.
Never mind.

14. Having dinner with 27 members of our SCA household |
|
Everybody is bringing something different. We're having ham and lamb and mashed potatos and vegetables and oddles of other goodies. My husband is making an asparagus dish from a neat cookbook that we have called "Last Dinner on the Titanic". The asparagus is cold and served with a dressing made from Dijon mustard and champagne vinager. It's very good. The dish was served in the second class dining room if memory serves (the book is downstairs and I'm not). We're bringing a chocolate cake too, just in case there aren't enough desserts.

17. I'm making brunch with my teenage sons tomorrow. |
|
I'm vegetarian and they each like/hate totally different foods, so... we're having toad in a hole (eggs cooked in toast in a skillet), flax waffles with real maple syrup, hash browns with red pepper and onion in olive oil, cinnamon rolls, sliced mango, sliced pineapple, grape juice, lemonade, and coffee, and the candy from their Easter baskets. Each person will eat only one or two selections!
Then in the evening my partner and I will join her mom for a late supper at a restaurant, where we'll all eat fresh fish.
Happy Spring Equinox, everyone!
:hi:
