1. I'm working. Got a challenge from a new customer to do essentially three weeks of work
in one week, and I'm just about to bring the project home and get it out to the printer tomorrow, so they can start printing on Monday.

Fiendishly difficult product photography, and even MORE difficult work silhouetting the pictures in Photoshop, but when all is said and done, I do that better than anyone else - yes, I'm patting myself on the back here. Those people (my customers) are going to absolutely wet their pants when they see how good I've made their products look.

I gotta get back to work now. Cheer up, would you? If you go out with the intention of having a good time, there's a much better chance that you actually will.

I will go with that intention.... :)

and you have every right to pat yourself on the back if your work is good and especially if YOU are satisfied with it!!!!!

4. Movie night
Lelapin's gone to the store to get some food and we picked up the car from the repair shop. Both cars went in this week. (Not by my choice...)

I hate to admit this, but between work, depression and sorting things to move, I still have a Christmas tree up in the dining room... It's coming down tonight. That and refining my cover letters and resume will consume the rest of the weekend.

But tonight (you knew I'd get there eventually) Lelapin and I are watching "Becoming Jane" and "Enchanted". Her spring break is over tomorrow.

Have a great time tonight. If nothing else, the people watching should be entertaining.

11. Oh, now, that's gotta be fun...unless you're irrevocably jaded, and even I have not
gotten to that point. NOBODY should get to that point.

Enjoy!

7. That happens to me too. I try to schedule my weekends as "down time"
to just meditate, recover, sleep, catch up on work/bills, and just be healthy. But right now, I have to be on guard 24/7, and I get calls and emails every day, all the time.

Maybe it's a good thing, in my case, so I don't get isolated, but it does get annoying. I know exactly what you mean.

22. I placed a personal ad on Craigslist
just to see who would answer.

I've gotten what appear to be a few sincere bites. I'll suggest coffee and see what happens.

Hey, you're only 60 once! :D Next time your birthday rolls around you can drag her to whatever fun place she will want to run from.
