I am proud of myself for one thing today.
There was a parent-kid half court b-ball game at the Pee Wee banquet today, and I played!

You have to understand I was one of those girls in high school who would sit out and fail phys ed rather than risk embarrassing myself out there. On top of that I am over 100lbs overweight right now and wasn't really keen on getting out there in front of everyone and wobbling my way up and down the court. But you know what? I did it for my kids. And I did it because it was fun. And it was ok. :)

Have you done anything lately that you are proud of?

1. I'm proud of you for that, too.
But, I really like you, so it isn't hard for me to say something nice to you.

Good on ya' my friend.

2. Yes, I have stuck to my exercise program
I have walked nineteen miles in the last eight days and done 75 situps each morning. It's hard to drag myself up and out in the cold and dark but I've stuck to it; I walk two miles each weekday and three miles each weekend day. I've been doing this almost every day since mid-November, working up to my current mileage, and have stuck to it diligently. Most unlike me, so I am very proud of that.

7. I got up at 8:15 and was in the office at 10:30.
On a SATURDAY! Then the printer broke--I didn't leave the office until almost 2:40, when I should've been in there for 2 hours, not 4. But I didn't leave--I got my work done. :)

8. Good job! (I haven't "worked" in months. I keep saying "Tomorrow I'll get back to my book" but
somehow I always end up here instead. :hide: )

9. Two things - One: I just recently became a Brownie troop leader
because my daughter's troop was splitting and someone needed to step up to do it and second: I volunteered to be the "bench coach" for my daughter's softball team. The team is made up of girls 6 years old and younger... it is much like herding cats.

ME: Heather, get a helmet on, you are on deck.
HEATHER: What's on deck mean?
ME: It means you are nex...Heather, you are UP! Hustle out there...Sarah, you are on deck, get a helmet on.
HEATHER: Where do I go?
ME: Go to homeplate and grab a bat...Sarah, come here! Tracy, you get a helmet on too, you are in the hole...

And so on.

10. As a cheer coach and an "assistant" den leader, I can so relate! *hugs* I am
really glad you have the opportunity to do these things. Are you loving it so far? :D

Since you are coaching kiddie softball, I think you'd enjoy this stand-up bit. My kids don't play, but they think it's a scream anyway. http://youtube.com/watch?v=yXLUncbZKbs

16. Whoa, you rock! My mother climbed Mt Katahdin when she was
older than I am now. (I was in high school by then). I want to be able to do the cool stuff like that with my kids too.

I used to love riding my ten speed as a kid and teen, but the last time I got on it man it was uncomfy. I wasn't even as big as I am now. :(
