1. Blech, sorry to hear that.
I did it, too. There were a couple of semesters when I'd wake up at some godawful hour of the morning and just start to cry because I was so tired and pressed for time. Nice way to start the day!

Hope it gets easier.

3. Yikes, that sounds nuts

You're in grad school, right? Are there any RA/fellowship opportunities so you wouldn't have to work full time?

4. I've been there.
Best I could do while working a full 40+ hour week was 2 classes, 6 credit hours. And I scheduled them at just the right time as to give myself time to walk home, get changed and get to work. Originally I also had enough extra time to do some homework or stay after class if I needed to, but my school fuxxored the schedule for one of my classes. :\

8. I was wondering how you were doing with all your obligations.
I don't even bother to consider coming to visit you anymore knowing you must have no time for anything but work and study. I hope you get well soon. :hi:

trying to study for tests and deal with work.

I tried that in my 30's - and it kicked my ass then.

11. I have that same problem too.
I'm in deep doo doo. I gotta drop 2 classes that I could have otherwise aced. It's just been a frustrating semester for me though. My aunt has needed more help than usual. It's all been rough.

5 writing-intensive classes, while trying to find a good anti-depressant/focusing prescription. My sympathies.

14. I hope you find some peace and get some recuperation time
My experience was grad school part time (6-9credits range), work full time, internship part time (20 hours a week). Three straight semesters of that. Second semester I had my crying break down at the internship and took a sabbatical from school for a semester to gather my strength and wits.

I hope things work out better for you and that it does not come down to a crying fit for you.

25. Have you asked for an incomplete?
Most schools have incomplete grades or something similar to attempt to handle cases when students encounter "unanticipated circumstances." Usually extended or serious illness falls in this category. You get extra time to complete the work. If your school allows this, try to make arrangements for an incomplete in at least one class.

An excused drop might also be a possibility, but you generally are out some money with this option.

If you haven't discussed your situation with your instructors, do so immediately. If you have, you did the right thing. Not everyone is sympathetic, but many are.

You might well have handled the ambitious load if you hadn't gotten sick. Now you should try to make the best of the situation and try to avoid bad grades on your record.
