I hate salt. I rarely salt anything. I bought some chips from Costco that say "lightly salted" on them. The back says 110mg of sodium. I'm sitting here rubbing the salt off on all of them, individually. Did I mention I hate salt?
They need to sell one that says "More lightly salted than our previous lightly salted." Just kind of run the conveyor belt through the salt machine at 90mph. That should do it.

7. Can't slice them thin enough! |
|
Maybe I should switch to tostita chips and salsa permanently!
(But there is just something about chips--maybe just because it's a comfort food!)

Never thought of a peeler. I'll remember that next time I want some chips.

2. You'd think there'd be some kind of middle ground. |
|
But everything seems to be either 'salted' or 'unsalted' these days. You can't find something with just enough salt to keep it from tasting bland, but not so much that it sucks the moisture right out of your body.

9. I've come to the conclusion |
|
Insofar as most foods are concerned, to let the consumer add his/her own spices. I always buy canned foods with limited sodium, but snack foods, unfortunately, seem to be geared toward those who aren't watching their diets, no matter how dangerous that much salt can be.

They go in the opposite direction--too greasy!
I think I will switch, indeed, to tostito chips and salsa. They, too, have salt, but the salsa makes you forget all about it!

It's better than the salt licks passed off as potato chips.

But I'm in New England. Health reasons, here. But it's a good idea to skip the salt anyway.

16. There are some unsalted ones. |
|
Kettle (kettlefoods.com) does a half decent unsalted chip. I generally prefer their lightly salted, but sometimes I too have that anti salt sensation.
