I hate Sundays
Because it means I have to go to work tomorrow and I am not liking my job very much. Actually I have not liked for many years but have not had any success at getting another. And in this economy sometimes we have to take what we can get. Also I turned in my first draft of my thesis and have been on pins and needles waiting for my professors to read it and send it back so I can make corrections.

In any case I am feeling a little low this Sunday. My friend, this guy I have been seeing for a month, canceled on me again. He said he was feeling "out of sorts". But that's like two days in a row now. Last night he had some family function to attend. I am trying not to think too much of this because I have not been feeling like myself this weekend either actually. Something has been going around at work but I have not caught it (yet) but a headache keeps threatening. So I guess we are having a bad weekend at the same time. I hope that's all but I am a worrier. I try to hide that from most people though. It's annoying to them.

He's very kind and sweet and just the sort of person I wish I had met years ago. I have spent that last 6-7 years hiding and avoiding anything real that I am not sure I know how to act anymore. I worry that I am not letting him get close enough and that he will ditch me sooner or later like everyone else does.

1. On top of this my dinner was ruined.
Okay I bought some frozen fish that was ALLEGEDLY salmon. Upon cooking, it had a white appearance (now we all know that even farm-raised salmon is pinkish-orange while wild salmon is more red. In no case is it white). It tasted okay but upon further reflection thought it best not to eat it. So I am having leftover pizza which is what I really wanted in the first place. The hell with trying to eat healthy tonight. The world is apparently conspiring against me.

3. Perhaps my "Mr. Bean" moment will cheer you up?
When I went into my bathroom this morning, I saw that the hand-held showerhead had fallen off the cradle onto the tub floor. I put it back in the cradle, turned on the shower to let the water warm and left to get a towel from the dryer - which I'd forgotten to bring up with me. When I went back into the bathroom, I was hit by a shower of water. Apparently the showerhead had cracked when it had fallen and water was shooting everywhere - floor, ceiling, window, toiletries. The entire bathroom was completely soaked. In my attempt to reach the shower to turn the water off, I slipped on the wet floor and grabbed out to stop myself from hitting my head on the tub which only resulted in my toothbrush, deoderant, toothpaste, mouthwash and floss being up-ended into the toilet bowl and me landing on my arse in a pool of water on the floor. So . . . four towels, a mop, and a trip to the store to replace a few things and buy some super glue, I was able to shower. The only thing I could think of was "Mr. Bean"!

I'm not a huge fan of Sundays either - but this one was the funniest I've had in a while. :)

5. This whole weekend sucked.
x(

The new buzzer for the apartments in my building sounds just like a phone ringing next door. So the woman I hired to do some housework came on Saturday Morning, and I didn't realize she was buzzing in. I didn't let her in because I thought the phone was ringing in the apartment next door. So of course she turned around and left.

I feel horrible, and I'm going to pay her for her missed time.

But I didn't have any help on Saturday, so I did as much housework as I could manage on my own, and hurt myself doing it. x(

Now my left arm and shoulder are fucked up, my back has been killing me, and my hands are in open revolt. I saw my doctor today, and all they can do is increase my meds, but I'm already having such high side effects from the meds that they're almost as bad as just being in pain. My doctor's parting words were "I wish there was something we could do for you."

I have been in a mood to just hang out and talk with friends, but not one of my friends is around to just hang out this weekend. And not one of my friends that I've called has returned my calls. WTF? I know it's Easter, they're not all Christian. They can't all be visiting their families.

So I'm sitting at home, in pain, bored, and lonely. Fuck! x(

8. Sorry to hear that. I hope you find some relief soon.
I went out for a while because I was bored and almost everything was closed. My favorite bookstore was open, however, so that at least saved the day.

Upon further reflection, though, I realized that my friend probably just needed some time to himself, after being at work and with family yesterday, etc. And no way am I going to begrudge him that because I am the same way sometimes.

7. My least favorite day...
And today was a whopper: Daughter backed into one of our other vehicles, not that bad but you cannot drive into a body shop without dropping big dollars and I have a $1000 deductible. While that was going on I was out in the pasture where I had mired the tractor down to its belly in mud and muck. Took 3 hours to dig it out sufficiently where we could pull it out. Sundays suck.

9. Sorry.
And I was pissed yesterday because I found another ding in my car. But it cannot compare to that kind of damage.
