6. And possibly a racist, if "One in a Million" is any indication.
Although they did claim that that song was a joke, and it could also be the perspective of the young Axl when he first got off the bus from Indiana.

But personal failings don't really detract from the quality of one's work.

5. Slash spent three weeks at a studio I used to work at.
He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Talking to him was like shooting the shit with a friend...he is very down to earth.

Guns n' Roses also recorded "Sympathy for the Devil" at our studio -- I pretty much witnessed the break-up of the band (but that's a different story.)

Not only that, "Appetite for Destruction" was also recorded where I worked!!!

9. Actually this was a copy cat thread - not a big GnR person here
they had a few killer songs and yes, Appetite for Destruction is in my collection. But other than that

8. My son, now 29, played this album...
over and over and over when he was a teenager. I took him and two of his buddies to see GNR at the ball park before they could drive. All the people around us kept saying how great it was his "big sister" had taken the time to bring them. I got quite a kick thinking these youngsters thought I was a lot younger than I really was. My son never told them I ws his Mom.

10. Oh REALLY?
Axhole Rose has driven just about all the rest of the band members away, and years after starting an album, it is no closer to being finished than it was when they first started, thanks to Axhole.

They were a "flash in the pan," but thanks to Axhole, they burned out quickly.
