We had one of those huge crane flies or whatever they are flying around the kitchen - I put Morrissey on the counter, and he quickly dispatched the poor flying critter and ate the carcass. Lock up your women and your silverware, or you may be next!

That reminds me of our late Fergus and the time the neighbors' black Lab came up on our deck and looked through our screen door. Fergus was there and hissed and arched his back, and the dog went away in fright! He was protecting us, I think (or thought he was). 24. I had a big ol Maine Coon named Pixie

for 18 years. He was almost 30 pounds, and he once beat up a neighbor's doberman that was chasing me. That cat owned the neighborhood. :)

His coloring was very similar to your Fergus, but he was much, much more fluffy with a big, wide mane of fur around his face.
