I read a theory awhile ago as to why the halfways rational countries eg. Canada, Northern Europe, Scandinavian ones tended to be better at international affairs. He put it down to the climate. Those in the Targa zones had such horrible climate that people got used to working together. Failing that the totally stupid froze to death.

Here in metro Atlanta recently, a man shot his ONE YEAR OLD daughter in the head, then turned the gun on himself. He lived for a while.

I was raised around guns, was taught how to use them, but wouldn't have one in my home today for love or money.

I am not an opponent of the 2nd Amendment, but things are out of hand, IMHO.
