WooHoo! I got re-admitted to College today, after a 2 year hiatus!
I took a semester off, and life happened.

I traveled, got married and started a business. This Fall I will be back in school to complete a Bachelor's Degree Program.

I am excited, and way ready!

1. Congratulations!
and good luck to you in school.

Oh yeah, and that's awesome what you were able to accomplish in your semester off! When I dropped out of grad school for a year all I did was work crappy jobs and ponder the meaning of life. haha

3. Thank you very much.
I am mostly excited. A little intimidated, but once I get going I will be fine.

What I will do with it? I'm not worried about that, yet.

5. Very cool.
I hope your business is going well and your marriage is even better. And I hope you can juggle the college work with everything else you do. :)

6. Thank you.
The good thing about my work, is I can make my schedule and make it fit around school. I can take on as much or little as I want.

And, I have a very supportive and encouraging wife. I hate to think of where I'd be without her influence.

11. Good luck!
I just went back this semester. 'tis a bit weird to look around campus and realize that just about everyone there is too young for me to date. :P But c'est la guerre.

12. Thanks!
When I was there to apply, I realized I was older than most. How does that happen?

13. Well I'm only 26.
Which doesn't seem old... until I start a conversation with someone 20 or younger. :P

15. 27 here.
I agree, it doesn't seem like many years, then a 20-year old is there to remind you.:)

16. That, and to test your resolve...
I swear, if I hear one more person use the word 'fag' or 'gay' as a pejorative I'm gonna start smacking people around... :grr:

18. It's gotten ridiculously common.
And it's not just guys using it too. I've heard it just as much from girls as I have from guys.

Which is all the more annoying, because I can't hit a girl. :\

24. I'm currently in a grad program where the average age is 24
I am 31. I also am in the middle of a career switch. Some of the youngest students in my program remember me from when I taught at their school.

Becoming a student with people who remember you as a teacher is very weird.

19. Wow, are you me?
We got married during spring break of our junior year 32 years ago. I took a year off and then went back and finished my degree in political science! Meanwhile, my husband started his remodeling business. (He never finished college and didn't need to for his career.)

I can't say that I used the "political science" aspect of my degree but the degree itself led to me becoming a teacher and getting a masters degree in math five years ago. Meanwhile, I raised four children and held a variety of part-time jobs. A bachelors degree is still the beginning of a lot of opportunities.

Congratulations and good luck! :hi:

The Bachelor's is most important, at this point. Where it will take me, I have no idea, but I am eager to find out.
