I'm getting my hair done on Friday... |
|
This might not seem like a big deal; but I haven't had anything done to it in about 5 years.
You see, I had found someone who was such an artist with the scissors; and he did a beautiful job with color as well. I just haven't wanted anyone else to do my hair. Unfortunately, he has a serious substance abuse problem and periodically disappears. It's really sad that he's so self-destructive. James called me a while back to let me know he was working in a new salon. I went by there today, and they said he wasn't there more than a couple of days. Nobody knows where he might be.
But I can't deal with this mop on my head anymore. It's time to get something done with it. So I made an appointment with someone else at that salon. :scared: Ah well, she probably can't make it look worse than it already does...

And I'm really itching to have it taken care of. Hope yours turns out to your liking. It is scary looking for a new person to do it. :hi:

I have horrid memories of my mother taking me to the woman who did her hair to "just get a trim" when I was trying to grow it long. The woman cut my hair so short...and I have broad shoulders. I was totally traumatized, and didn't have my hair touched by anybody for 10 years. :(

I usually just do a ponytail, since it's so long....just to keep it out of the way.

5. I hope it turns out the way you envision it! I just recently went from |

wild corkscrew curly middle of my back length to damn near buzzed with just some spiky bangs, and I totally love it. I didn't mind it long, but I was ready for a change. Shocked the shit outta everyone at work *lol*

I'm hoping this stylist is creative enough to come up with something that will look good. I don't like telling them exactly what to do. I think the best styles come from giving a few guidelines...general length, degree of wildness, etc...then letting them feel free to do what they want to do.

6. I've been doing the exact opposite |
|
I've been getting my hair cut constantly - like every two weeks. I went from very long to very short, then let it grow to shoulder length, cut back to a bob, and changed the color several times the last two years. Now that it's short I have to cut it all the time to maintain the shape. I want to get new light highlights for the summer but I just got some and it's too soon to change again. It's an addiction.
I'm sure your cut will look great. :)

8. Maybe you can just let the sun add highlights... |
|
When I spend a lot of time outside, my hair changes color...except for the grey stuff. :D
