They're the only animals I haven't seen at any of the shelters around here. I've seen Emus, Alpacas and Llamas at the Helen Woodward shelter over the years.

I'm guessing they don't get many, and there might be a specialized reptile rescuer who handles them.

My Dad used to have a burmese python. Snakes are expensive to care for, with all the extra lights, vitamins, fuzzy critters to eat, etc.

14. I had 2 boa constrictors for several years. |

They aren't all that expensive to care for. The only problem was getting live mice and rats to feed them. And they certainly didn't need vitamins.
