9. The whole "OMG THIS STUFF IS SO COOOL" act...

..from most of the contestants is starting to get really annoying.

O.K. if they don't want to publicize the fact that a good chunk of the top 12 have extensive music industry and professional recording experience then that's fine. Keep up the illusion if you want.

But the whole deal of having them pretend by going "WOOOOOW.....Look at all those big buttons in the studio......oh wow, my face on a cd on itunes...how cool." when at LEAST 2 out of the 3 have actually had cds/albums recorded professionally and released by major labels is just a bit over the top.

10. I knew that contestant was in trouble as soon as the performer went back to balladering

but I still didn't expect that person to be eliminated.

Beside Kristy, there's another person who should have been bottom three for a few weeks now. The fact that one particular person has been safe early on each week has to be killing at least one judge who finds himself having to state week after week that AI is not a popularity contest.

The entertainment reporter for the Washington Post nailed it when she declared in her recap that the elimination of the latest contestant removed 50% of the personality pool from this year's version.
