Some newbie just told me he was putting me on ignore. I liked the dramatic flair of "so onto the ignore list you go."

6. The "ignore' function to me

is like a few years back when the phone company wanted to sign me up for caller ID. when I said I didn't need it, the response was that don't you want to know who's calling. I said that if it was someone I didn't want to talk to that I preferred to be rude in person.

Especially when it comes to those automatic dialer calls. If you don’t take care of them, they just don’t go away.
