It's a big day for me as a first-year teacher: My first school bomb threat!

It's not considered serious and the school wasn't evacuated, but in a way I feel like I've lost my virginity. :cry:

4. We had a bunch of those right after Columbine.

The first one came in so early, as I was pulling in to the parking lot, a police officer told me to just turn around and go home. A few days later, they got another one. We first had to take the students to the middle school located behind the high school. Then THAT building got one, so we took the kids BACK to the high school, into an area that had already been cleared. If I recall correctly, we then had to take the kids down the street to the 9th grade building because of ANOTHER threat. Good times.

At a middle school job I had later, they had a long string of threats for a few weeks in the fall that really disrupted things.

FYI, I had a good friend who was dating a guy who was a little umm crazy..He was caught phoning in various bomb threats to our High school...:eyes:
