Good News for David Lynch Fans: LOST HIGHWAY! |
|
Maybe this is old news for many of you, but I just saw this week that Universal Pictures--under its Spotlight Focus Series--has finally remastered, re-transferred and wide-screened Lynch's "Lost Highway."
To me this is big news. The worst transfer of any film I've ever seen in my life (with the possible exception of Bob Fosse's "Star 80") was the Canadian, full screen version of "Lost Highway." It was a travesty, and a tragedy.
I know that "Lost Highway" is not among his most appreciated films, but it was a dress rehearsal for "Mullholland Drive" and "Inland Empire." Those films, one might speculate, make a trilogy.
Finally, somebody has taken the time and care to revive this under-appreciated and disastrously transferred film by Lynch.
Just had to express my joy!

here. I looked as recently as a couple of months back to see if there was an update out, so I appreciate it.
Sorry my memory is failing, but you are one of the folks who got on to the Kubrick remaster threads prior to Christmas, right? Did you check any of those out yet? Just 2001 and The Shining so far for me.
:hi:
