I am SO happy. I have to share.

This isn't Lounge fare, but...
My former governor, Don Siegelman, is being released from jail, on bond, in the morning.
His wife and daughter are on the way, as I type, to pick him upon his release from federal prison in Oakdale, LA.

You may not know about this travesty of justice.
You can read all about it in LBN and GD.

He will testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee.
Probably in May.
But for now, he is FREE!

A few of us, not just in Alabama, have worked so long and so hard to try and bring this about.

His 'conviction' was a direct result of the Karl Rove/Albert Gonzales Department of Justice prosecution/persecution.

Like I said, not Lounge stuff, but I am so goddam happy there are tears running down my cheeks.
