Lightening Crashes
the Angel opens her eyes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQbAz-cgDR8

Lightning crashes a new mother cries
Her placenta falls to the floor
The angel opens her eyes
The confusion sets in
Before the doctor can even close the door

Lightning crashes an old mother dies
Her intentions fall to the floor
The angel closes her eyes
The confusion that was hers
Belongs now to the baby down the hall

1-Oh now feel it, comin' back again
Like a rollin', thunder chasing the wind
Forces pullin' from
The center of the earth again
I can feel it.

Lightning crashes a new mother cries
This moment she's been waiting for
The angel opens her eyes
Pale blue colored iris
Presents the circle
And puts the glory out to hide, hide
(repeat 1, 1, 1)

2. I love that song.
It's very sad, but in a very nice way. It's very dramatic, but not melodramatic.

It's definitely one of their best songs.

4. It was a good song until
the Murrah building (OKC bombing) remix

Kind of ties it to one horrific event in my life so can't enjoy it anymore.

7. Oh no, don't worry about that
Most people aren't even aware of that version of the song so please don't worry about it. It is weird how auditory memory works, I absolutely can not hear the song in my head without the extra stuff added.

6. Thanks for posting this.
This poem/or lyrics speak directly to the second occupation I am thinking of writing about. You must have ESP or something. :)
