OMG, I just cleaned my whole house. I'm f'n EXHAUSTED.
Not. Moving. Off. Couch.
Ohhhhhhhhh I'm not as young as I used to be.

Vacuumed 5 rooms and a hall
Swept kitchen,laundry, and baths
Washed kitchen floor by hand
Cleaned out fridge; washed shelves down..and freezer
Cleaned counters, sink, stovetop
Washed 2 loads dishes
Washed all laundry
Wiped down laundry room counters, sink
Cleaned off laundry shelves & organized them
...while burning copies of husband's demo cd; about 50 of them...
Put up laundry
Dusted 5 rooms
Moved 2 pieces furniture
Cleaned bathroom (the nasty parts)
Washed bathroom rugs
Made 2 beds
Febreezed the hell out of anything that remotely resembled fabric
Washed *some* baseboards
...and I think that's about it.

Oh! there was a four year old in there somewhere. Remarkably well behaved, considering.

*dies*

1. I hope you had a damn good reason!

My apartment needs an entire top to bottom cleaning/reorganizing...not happening unless there is divine intervention. I'm so f'n busy with school, and if I get my internship for the summer...yikes. Paging Sniffa!!

Go you! :yourock:

2. Friends coming in from out of town.
That's what it takes to motivate me...I don't want to be embarassed.
School is a great excuse!

4. That used to be my excuse for periodic manic cleaning sprees.
Not that I cared whether my friends thought less of me for my housekeeping skills (if they did, they weren't friends), but it was good "let's pretend" motivation to just get it done.

These days I'm slowly teaching myself to take one room/task per day, so it's not such a horrifically overwhelming job that I keep putting it off. I've found that the more the undone jobs pile up, the less inclined I am to do them, so I try to whittle away a bit at a time.

6. I get frustrated..
if I only do one room, and then see the rest of the house dirty. I get obsessive with it. It could be a problem, but I try to make it work for me. I have to make myself stop, unless I'm too tired to go on.

8. Oh, trust me. This is a
once every six months type thing. I let it go most of the time.

5. What? No cats?
...or dogs, or birds, or fish? Woman, you haven't started yet! Just kidding, but that's my cleaning.

7. LOL
The cat-washing is my husband's job...he's so incredibly patient with her, and she has learned to sit still and let him wash her quickly. Poor baby. ;)
