Trekkies and Trekkers, I need guidance.
My older son (10) wants some Trek tech manuals and encyclopedias. Can you recommend which ones give the most bang for the buck? He is particularly interested in ship schematics and specifically wants one of the Nova class. (I am tired of using all my ink to print them out for him from various Trekipedias, and they are just too darned small to read anyway.)

Thanks!

1. A geek is born!
:) That's cute. I don't have any recommendations, I just think it's cute.

Upgrade him to the full apartment:

3. The Next Generation Technical Manual is the ultimate.

In both print and interactive forms. IMHO

On edit...I'm not 100% certain you can get the interactive one for XP or later, but you should double check me on that.

7. "were planning a Voyager technical manual. However,..."
I guess it never came to pass. I never bothered with the DS9 book since I never considered worthy of Trek anyway.

10. Guess I should have read more closelyl
I just saw the link. I never really got into any of the spinoffs except TNG. DS9 was just a ripoff of the far superior Babylon 5 anyway. The creator of B5 origionaly pitched his idea to Paramount and was told that they weren't interested in a space station series. then they turned around and launched a space station series using pretty much every one of his ideas.

In fact, I think you can safely say Jeri Ryan was a big help in getting Obama elected to congress, whatever her personal politics....:D
