A few days ago I ate a chocolate-bacon bar |
|
This is a review of it. I didn't write it but it is pretty accurate.
Would I eat it again? Yes. Small bites because the flavors are pretty intense and subtle.
This does answer the question about what you could add to bacon to make it more delicious - chocolate!

Bacon was my favorite back in my meat eating days. I've been a vegetarian for most of my life now. I eat Morningstar Farms breakfast strips. Good but not exactly bacon. I wonder how they'd be with chocolate?

that go great together. The only thing that would make it even better would be to drink a nice oatmeal stout or barley wine with the chocolate-bacon bar. YUM! :9

When I do eat bacon, which is not often these days, I eat it on soft wheatberry bread with a little bit of grape jelly or black raspberry preserves. The sweet and salty combo that I totally crave. So chocolate wouldn't be such a stretch for me.
I'm still wishing for someone to hypnotize me and convince me that pork products don't taste good! I absolutely love, love, love ham and bacon! They are my stumbling blocks to becoming vegetarian rather than flexitarian. :P
