I've been listening to a ton of Dragonforce, and Demon Hunter...great metal bands in my view...currently I'm listening to the Punisher soundtrack(the one with Tom Jane)....Soundtrack is pretty damn tough.

I've been debating buying an electric guitar...my acoustic/electric can only do...so much, and I find myself bored with it from time to time.

21. Yeah, I've only had an acoustic for the entire time I've played guitar...
which is something like 12 years, come to think of it. :P

When I got a bass and an amp for christmas this year I shelled out the thirty bucks for an acoustic pickup for my guitar. But even then it can only do so much.

26. I like the feel, and
how the strings on the electric are a lot more...close/tight, I don't have to stretch my hand out so much to hit chords, and what not...

28. I'm still getting used to the electric.
Which makes for a good excuse to play 24/7. :P

Seriously though, other than the fact that I really wanted one, and I'll need it if I ever start/join a band, I needed something that I could play with headphones on that makes no sound. Can't do that with acoustic. So now if I feel the urge to play guitar at 2 in the morning, I can do that without waking anyone up.

Morgan Doctor is actually the drummer for The Cliks but she has her own solo stuff, it's kind of trip-hop-ish and totally different than the stuff she does with The Cliks. It's really cool. Here's her myspace: http://www.myspace.com/modoctor

25. Eddie Vedder's Into the Wild soundtrack; old Decemberists; Frank Black Francis
Frank Black Francis is an incredible 2-disc set. The first disc is an acoustic demo tape Charles made at Gary Smith's house right before the Pixies first recording session at Fort Apache. The second disc is Frank redoing a bunch of old Pixies songs with Two Pale Boys.

It get's 8 thumbs up from me.

And when I'm not in the mood for full albums I listen to some stuff my sister and brothers got me into... Mickey Avalon, Dirt Nasty, Andre Legacy, Beardo, Dyslexic Speedreaders.

One song we play every time we drink together- Apologize, OneRepublic. None of us even listen to that kind of music but that's our song, lol.

Today I discovered that any song about being sxe makes me want to get drunk for spite. Which kinda sucks when I'm driving, on account of open container laws and all.

This was the best punk parody song ever. Martin Short is great as usual but John Candy's serious expression is hilarious. This skit was a favorite in the punk community in the 80's.

56. at this exact moment? Sandinista by The Clash
Lately, best of Simon and Garfunkle, Bad Influence by Robert Cray, some live Springsteen and lots of rockabilly, including Buddy Holly, Billy Lee Riley and Charlie Feathers... and also a live rockabilly recording I did about 8 years ago- just to see if the good stuff was as good as I'd remembered, and if the bad stuff was as bad--I was right about both--I'm pretty damn proud of some of it, and embarrassed as hell that some of the rest went out live over the air. And last but not least, listening to: Its Summertime , by The Jamies ( anyone remember that one ? "Its summertime, summertime, sum sum summertime") .
