Nipple warning!!!
The hazards of body piercing - courtesy of Reuters

"Nipple rings fall foul of airport check

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A woman who claims she was ordered by federal airport screeners to remove her nipple rings with pliers demanded an apology from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration on Thursday".

http://www.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUSREE85411920080328?feedType=RSS&feedName=oddlyEnoughNews&sp=true

I've got to query what lame-brain doesn't remove the stainless-steel from her intimate parts before going through security though. The underwires on my bras have been known to set off alarms, so I choose the "sports" variety for travel. Still, what they put this poor woman though sounds highly unprofessional. I wonder how they would handle a "Prince Albert"? Send the wearer to the can?

I can't wait for Temeah to comment.

5. What the hell?
are nipple rings really a terrorist threat? I'd think they could determine that the rings were setting off the detectors, not something dangerous, by using the wand.

Dog forbid anyone look different in america.

6. And who could ignore
The threat to our national security caused by radioactive cats!

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/dannywestneat/2004300343_danny23.html

When I heard about that one on Olbermann last night, I really had to shake my head. A radioactive cat with nipple rings would be a real hazard!

8. ...
Allred said TSA policy called for a pat-down under such circumstances but did not require the piercings to be removed.

Actually, I was briefly called away from my vacation to serve my country under the auspices of the TSA, as Air Force 11 picked me up and took me to LA to perform the aforementioned pat-down.

And I can happily report that, after a thoroughly 15 minute inspection, there were NO bombs hidden in the nipple rings, and the young lady was free to proceed on her way.

I am proud to be an American and I am very fondle of my position in TSA. :patriot:

9. It is not a trip to the airport
until I get felt up.

I wear an underwire bra and refuse to be unconfortable all day for a couple of less minutes with the TSA folks. To bad I cannot request which TSA person does the pat down. I want the cute guy to do it.

12. Really?
I hate underwires. They almost always wind up working their way out of the casings and poking me in the armpit at awkward times - like at fancy dinner parties and job interviews. Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to find DD bras without them. In consequence, when I can find them I buy several pairs.

Jogging bras will work, but they squish me into an anatomically improbable shape.
