Lounge animal lovers...

Yesterday, I posted a link to a picture of some puppies who were in a shelter in Indiana. Today, I found out that the poor little pups had been euthanized because the shelter was over crowded. I am so sad, I can't stand it. Here is a link to the shelter -- it is a shelter in a very rural and very poor area of Indiana. It looks like they could use anything and everything that someone might be able to spare. Here is the link on Flickr:

Here are the little pups. The shelter has an arrangement with a company that makes dog beds so that beds can be donated to the shelter at a reduced rate. If you could help them out with this, I'm sure it would be appreciated, also.

I know times are tough for everyone, but this little shelter really seems to be struggling.

8. You may be comforted in the fact

that in rural NC we found 4 dogs forever homes today and one of them will be getting $500-$1000+ surgery by the new family.

It is about buttload of litters season, so now is when organizations like the one you mentioned need all the volunteers and donations they can get.
