Poll question: "St. Elmo's Fire" or "The Breakfast Club"?
Or, as a wild card, "Bright Lights, Big City"?

1. Breakfast Club--no question
Better script, better archetypes, and more hopeful. A classic. SEF--minor classic.

2. Breakfast Club, hands down
Great movie. We either were or knew one of the characters in that movie. Or a combination.

I didn't relate to St Elmo's Fire at all.

4. Breakfast Club is timeless. St. Elmo's Fire is too 80s.
C'mon, Demi Moore's depressed because she overcharged her card and all her stuff got repoed?

How on earth are most people supposed to relate to that?

8. AUGH! St. Elmo's Fire gave me hives-
Wish I could huddle, shivering, in a big, empty room, while my friends tried to break down the door and blowtorch the bars on the window while I just sat there rocking like a spoiled, crazy brat. And when they finally heard me laugh a little bit after my extremely stupid excuse for acting like a nut, say things like, "SHE'S LAUGHING!"

I wish I could talk about peanut butter & jelly sandwiches in a way that would make Rob Lowe come over, sit next to me, and say, "So you wanna have sex, or what?"

Life after college, kids. No, really. :eyes: No. Really.

12. Gotta go with BC. St. Elmo's Fire was transparently derivative.
Derivative of what, I'm not at liberty to say...
