My cat doesn't know it yet....
..but I plan on keeping her awake all day & all night tonight... until I'm ready to go to bed this evening.

Maybe she'll think twice before meowing in my face at 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning.

(sigh)

p.s., Naturally, she has since gone back to bed now... while I am wide awake. :eyes:

12. Oh...that is a beautiful cat...

A lot of DUers think Pumpkin is a Maine Coon, but the Vet said no....she is a Tabby. We got her from the shelter. The poor little thing was skin and bones when we adopted her.

3. Let me know how that works
My cat has turned into a rooster. He has begun mewing at the crack of dawn, apparently because he hears the birds outside. Grrr. It has to stop for my health, and frankly for his too.

5. One of mine meowed in my EAR the other morning
That aren't loud meowers in general, but right in the ear is pretty annoying...

9. I don't have cats, so I'm wondering
how do you keep a cat awake?

Do you meow in her face?

10. There are a lot of ways...
Edited on Sat Mar-29-08 01:46 PM by KC2
In fact, I just went into the bedroom, where she was sleeping, and made smooching "bird noises" as I said, "Hi Pump, Pump, how are you doing?!" Then kissed her on the top of her head.

My cat is hating me about now! lol

13. I'm about ready to murder mine. 5 am every fucking day.
Scratch the edge of the mattress, meow, run like a bastid for his food bowl....over and over and over and over til one of us is forced to get up and feed him. Then it's beddie bye for the rest of the day.

15. My cats get unlimited dry cat food....
That is part of what irritates me. They usually wake us up for attention, or to go outside. The funny part, too, is that they take turns. Bear usually wakes us up on week days, and Pumpkin takes on the duties on the weekends.

Here is a pic of Bear & "The Pump" discussing the matter: ;-)

p.s., The empty bowl you see is used for cat treats. Their food bowls (partially hidden in the pic) are always full.

17. It's obvious by looking at them that they've discussed all their plans and maneuvers
Mine just has a bad attitude. A really really bad attitude.

14. Hi KC2!
Isn't the 4-6AM wake up call standard for cat people?

Mine starts at 5 then when I don't get up, continues till
I DO get up, usually within 10-15 minutes.

Once the food bowl is full, and all tummies are fed,
it's back to sleep for the kitties and

I'M FRIGGIN WIDE AWAKE!!

Grrr--- What's a cat person gonna do?

:) :hi:

I thought mine were trained to let me sleep in when I'm really, really tired. *sigh* I guess not! :hi:
