Tonight at 9:00 EST, my college radio is on again.
It's called "The Soul Express," and it features the vintage soul grooves of the '60s and '70s, most of which you've never heard before or else haven't heard in 30-40 years.

If you live locally, you can hear "The Soul Express" on 91.7-FM, WHUS from UConn. Otherwise, you can listen on the Web by going to http://whus.org and clicking the link for "Listen."

Finally, you can see the Soul Express Website here:

1. good for you
Thank God for college radio or I would go crazy! I hate formatted boring radio where you hear the same crap over and over again. Sometimes even the community radio stations fall into that trap. There is so much good and amazing music in the world that I feel sorry for people who never hear even 1/10th of it. I don't know how anyone can live like that.

2. The show actually may start a bit late tonight.

The station's sports department is carrying a *&!@#$% hockey game that may go into overtime. Jesus, how I hate sports! :grr:

3. actually one of the college stations I listen to
often broadcasts basketball and football games. It is a sub- Ivy league type school with not so good sports teams, it is always jarring to hear it right after a lot of punk, squonking jazz, techno and other obscurities. But that eclecticism is what makes these stations so great!
